Unisafe are one of the leading companies in industrial personal protection equipment. There is generally a lot of rubbish out there - you won't find it with the Unisafe brand on it.
These earmuffs are at the top of the range. They are a clear class 5 rating and reduce noise by 32 decibels according to the AS/NZS 1260 standards. If you need to cut sound out - these will do it. Generally you don't need such high noise reduction but when you've got a screaming motor, very close to you, like for example a chainsaw, and you're using it for an extended period of time, then this is the only real option for decent hearing protection. I have also found that wearing these when my mother in law comes around has significantly improved our relationship!!
You can also buy hygiene kits for these if you sweat a lot and are using them on stinking hot days.
