These wood post screw in offset insulators are perfect when you need to keep your livestock away from the fence.   They're 200mm long and if you predrill the holes with a small cordless, you can put them in quickly by hand.  Generally about 30 seconds an insulator is what we allow. 

Generally you want to run offset insulators when you need to keep your animals away from the fence.  With the offset insulators the animals get the ping before they get to the fence.  You might want to do that when;

• Your fence is less than perfect
• Your animals are pushing onto the fence and weakening it
• Your animals are eating the fence
• You have goats or rams and you need to run a second set of electric wires

Being an offset, unlike normal wood post insulators, you only need these on every second post.
